PURPOSE: A rice cooker automates the whole process to cook rice including drawing out rice from a rice box, washing the rice and getting rice ready to cook in rice cooker. CONSTITUTION: A rice cooker comprises a rice measuring and discharging device(12), a washing fan(20), a water supplier(14), a drainpipe(23), a drain box(41) and an opening and shutting valve(32). The rice measuring and discharging device(12) has a rotatory body composed of multiple plate type wings or circular rotatory body with grooves rotating in a guiding circular body with openings on the top and the bottom thereof to discharge rice continuously. The washing fan(20) placed on the lower side of a washing part comprises multiple plate type wings to wash rice by the rotation of wings. The water supplier(14) has a water meter(15) installed therein to supply water of uniform quantity and a circular water screen plate formed on a spout thereof to sprinkle supplied water to the side surface of a washing box(19). The drainpipe(23) has a net(21) on the lower part of the washing box(19) to drain soiled water only and a draining valve(22) determining draining. The drain box(41) moves vertically to drain foreign matter floating on water with water. The opening and shutting valve(32) comprises a single shutting valve to put down washed rice to a rice pot. After rice is got ready to be cooked and water for boiling rice is supplied by the water supplier(14), electricity is supplied to a heat plate(27) to cook rice.
