RADIO RECEIVING UNIT IN PICO BASE STATION SYSTEM OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A radio receiving unit in a Pico base station system of a mobile communication system and a method for operating thereof are provided to reduce the number of antennas while maintaining diversity in a base station. CONSTITUTION: The first antenna(ANT1) connected with the first duplexer(101) classifies a signal to transmit and a received signal and carries out the transmitting a receiving of a radio signal. The first duplexer(101) inputs the received signal to the first receiver(103). The inputted signal is down-converted into an intermediate frequency signal by the control of the first control unit(108) and is inputted to the second duplexer(104). The second duplexer(104) outputs the intermediate frequency signal to a module which can process it. If the second duplexer(104) receives the signal to transmit, the second duplexer(104) inputs it to an I input port of a transmitter(102). The Q signal of the signal to transmit is connected to a Q input port of the transmitter(102) through the second duplexer(107). The transmitter(102) converts the signal into a signal of a band to transmit, amplifies it and outputs the amplified signal to the first duplexer(101). The first duplexer(101) receives the signal through a transmitting port and transmits it through the first antenna(ANT1).
