PURPOSE: A method for driving a mobile communication network is provided so that a calling subscriber can access a voice message using an extrinsic service code and a destination number, regardless of a call connection state with a called subscriber. CONSTITUTION: If a calling subscriber inputs an extrinsic service code and a destination number through his MS(Mobile Station), the extrinsic service code and the destination number are transmitted to a BSC(Base Station Controller). The BSC provides the data to a PCX(Personal service Communication EXhange). The PCX executes originating call processing and number translation for the data. After that, the PCX sends a feature request message to an HLR(Home Location Register). The HLR discriminates what kind of service code the extrinsic service code inputted through the MS is. If it is a VMU(Voice Message Unconditional) code, the HLR sends a router request message to a VMS(Voice Message Service system)_PCX which the calling subscriber belongs to. If a response message for the router request is provided to the HLR, the HLR outputs a response message for the feature request to the PCX. The PCX executes call processing for voice message connection to a VMS_PCX which the called subscriber belongs to. The VMS_PCX transmits a router request message to a VMS, which the called subscriber belongs to actually, through an IAM(Initial Address Message). Also the VMS_PCX receives an acknowledgement message and an answer message for the router request message from the called subscriber VMS and transmits them to the PCX so that a call path can be formed. If the call path is formed, the called subscriber VMS sends an information broadcast associated with VMS to the MS.
