PURPOSE: A self-propulsion dynamometer for testing a towing water tank is provided to improve measuring performance by directly transferring thrust of a propeller shaft to a sensor without dispersing in other directions. CONSTITUTION: A self-propulsion dynamometer for testing the towing water tank includes a body(101) having a central shaft(103) rotatably arranged on a propeller shaft(104), a sensing part(107) connected integrally to the central shaft inside the body, rotating together with the central shaft and sensing thrust and torque by the propeller shaft, an engine shaft(108) connected integrally to the sensing part inside the body and rotating together with the sensing part, and a contactor and a brush(110) attached on the periphery of the engine shaft inside the body and taking out fine voltage output from the sensing part.
