BRAKING CONTROL METHOD OF WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A braking control method detects an unbalanced condition to compare with the set standard value and switches from a normal braking mode to a sudden braking mode according to the comparison result if an unbalanced phenomenon of a washing tank shaking due to the unbalanced placement of laundry in the washing tank or the other external factor on braking after the completion of dewatering to prevent or minimize excessive noise generated on braking by continuous normal braking mode and damage mechanical or of circuit in a system. CONSTITUTION: A braking control method comprises a step to executes normal braking by a normal braking mode after the completion of dewatering in a washing machine(301, 302), a step to detect the unbalanced condition of a washing tank generated in the normal braking(303), a step to determine whether the detected unbalanced condition exceeds set allowed range of unbalanced condition(304) and a step to return to the step( 302) if the detected unbalanced condition is within the allowed unbalanced condition range and to switch the braking mode from the normal braking mode to a sudden braking mode to execute braking if the detected unbalanced condition exceeds the allowed unbalanced condition range(305).
