PURPOSE: Provided is a sea water thinner composition and process for producing the same, which is excellent in a shine and a color and has no smell, toxicity and dangerousness of fire by mixing sea water with calcium oxide obtained by heating the waste shells. CONSTITUTION: The composition contains i) 100pts.wt. of sea water; ii) 10-20pts.wt. of calcium oxide powder obtained by heating the waste shells; iii) 2-3pts.wt. of a brightener; and iv) 2-3pts.wt. of a stabilizer. The composition is obtained by the steps of: i) heating the waste shells at 500-1,200deg.C and crushing it to make calcium oxide powder; ii) mixing the calcium oxide powder, the brightener, the stabilizer and sea water; and then iii) filtering impurities of the sea water thinner.
