PURPOSE: A method for ejecting a tray of a disk reproducing device is provided to reproduce or eject the tray using a current power unit, without an additional power unit, in an electronic eject mechanism. CONSTITUTION: Power is applied to a driving motor and a transfer screw, thereby transferring a pickup unit toward a spindle motor, wherein a power transfer unit is used only for transferring the pickup unit when the pickup unit is not controlled by an external power(S1). If a user presses an eject button, the transfer screw is moved in a direction opposite to the spindle motor, that is, in an external circumference direction(S2). A first operating unit is moved to an external circumference(S3). A second operating unit is rotated by the movement of the first operating unit(S4). And a tray is ejected by the restoration power of an elastic member(S5).
