INHIBITOR OF ANGIOTENSIN CONVERTING ENZYME SEPARATED FROM MUSTARD SEEDS AND PRODUCING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme separated from mustard seeds and a producing method thereof are provided. Therefore, hypertension can be inhibited. CONSTITUTION: The inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme containing the extract of mustard seeds is peptide having 200 to 800 molecular weight. The method for producing the inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme comprises the steps of: removing lipid in mustard seeds with hexane and extracting the mustard seeds in water at 60 deg. C; separating the extract with butanol and adding methanol to the separated fragments to obtain the precipitate; treating the precipitate with adsorption chromatography; and carrying out silica gel column chromatography with the eluate to obtain the pure inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme.
