PURPOSE: A light condensing plate of an LCD is provided to limit the angle of light to be incident from a light guide panel to a color filter within 20 degrees right and left for the vertical direction of the light guide panel, and reduce the output of a lamp of the LCD by using the light condensing plate. CONSTITUTION: A half cylinder-shaped lens(15) is formed in the top of a light condensing plate and two inclined reflective planes(14) opposite to each other is formed in the bottom of the light condensing plate. The uniform brightness is provided in all pixels because the size of the lens, about 100 micrometers, is identical with the size of an LCD pixel. The inclined reflective planes is coated with aluminium and a flat transmissive region(13) is formed in the center of the two inclined reflective planes(14) without the reflective plane(14). The light to be incident toward the light condensing plate through a light guide panel transmits the transmissive region(13) without the reflective plane(14) and the rest light to be incident toward the reflective plane(14) progresses toward a light guide panel surface(16). The lens(15) converts the light passing through the transmissive region(13) into the parallel light. |
