PURPOSE: A color filter substrate for a liquid crystal display is provided to apply common voltage differentially through contact point formed in respective divided common electrodes, so as to minimize the flicker caused by the delay of gate signal. CONSTITUTION: Plural divided common electrodes(41,42,43) are formed in the upper of black matrixes and a red, blue and green color filters(R,G,B). The divided common electrodes(41,42,43) are connected through short points(45) one another and the short points(45), comprised of an ITO material or a conductive material, are formed together with on patterning of the common electrodes(41,42,43). Plural contact points(c1,c2,c3,c4,c5,c6,c7) are displayed in the respective divided common electrodes(41,42,43). When the change of kickback voltage is not generated uniformly according to the various signal delay based on the application location of gate signals, the plural contact points(c1,c2,c3,c4,c5,c6,c7) apply plural common voltages different one another so as to compensate for pixel voltage uniformly. Therefore, it is possible to minimize the flicker by compensating for the asymmetry of the pixel voltage even when the asymmetry of the pixel voltage caused by the kickback voltage is generated differently. |
