PURPOSE: An electron gun in a color cathode ray tube is provided to suppress generating of coma aberration and prevent mis-convergence by correcting a variable voltage synchronized with a deflecting yoke and the structure of a condensed electrode. CONSTITUTION: A cathode(11) emits electron beams. A control electrode(12), an acceleration electrode(13), a plurality of condensed electrode(14) and an anode electrode(15) are disposed sequentially from the cathode(11). A high voltage over 25,00V is applied to the anode electrode(5), and a voltage of 400 to 1,000V is applied to the acceleration electrode(13). The condensed electrodes(14) is divided into the first to third condensed electrodes(16,17,18) from the cathode(11). An intermediate voltage corresponding to 20 to 30% of the anode voltage is applied to the second condensed electrode(17), and a voltage varied in synchronization with a deflecting yoke(6) is applied to the first and third condensed electrodes(16,18). An electrostatic lens is formed between the third condense lens(18) and the anode electrode(15).
