GIGGED PILE FABRIC AND PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A process for preparing gigged fabrics by gigging only a desired specified pattern during gigging a surface pile of raw material while remaining the other pile that is not gigged is provided, thereby high quality products having different external appearance and feeling from conventional gigged fabrics is produced. CONSTITUTION: This gigged fabrics are prepared by a process consisting of: obtaining pile fabrics formed with a pile texture on a ground texture; printing a treating agent obtained by mixing a gigging inhibiting agent with a dye on the pile fabrics in a designed pattern in the first stage; printing a nonprinting part by printing a mixture) of a sizing agent and a dye on the printed pile fabrics in the second stage; heating the pile fabrics at 150 to 180deg.C for 5 to 10min; and washing, softening and expanding.
