METHOD FOR DESIGNATING EXTERNAL SHAPE INFORMATION OF XML DOCUMENT

PURPOSE: The method for designating the external shape information of an extended markup language(XML) document is provided to form a picture that can be output as displayed when an XML document is written, and to enable the current location of the document to be checked quickly, by representing the tag of the document as a mark with the size and color that do not affect the shape of the document. CONSTITUTION: The tag that is an edit element of the XML document is replaced with a mark, which is formed of lines, so that an XML document editor can add a style sheet easily. The lines of the mark have the width that does not affect the external shape of the XML document. The mark, comprised of the lines, sets colors differently from each other according to the depth of each tag.
