PURPOSE: An abnormal wear prevented radial tire prevents an abnormal wear generated on the shoulder portion of a tire due to a chipping and a tearing. CONSTITUTION: An abnormal wear prevented radial tire was constituted by forming slots(5) on side walls(40,41) of a rib(4) contacting on a groove(2) formed on the shoulder portion(2). Thus, impacts, vibrations and ground contacting pressure generated on the running of a vehicle having the radial tire is buffered by the slots(5). Therefore, an abnormal wear phenomenon generated on the edge of the rib(4) is restrained, thereby elongating the enduring life of a tire.
