PURPOSE: A refrigerant flow control apparatus for refrigeration system is provided to achieve an enhanced cooling performance and reduce power consumption by preventing the evaporative temperature of the evaporator from being raised due to the high temperature high pressure refrigerant flowing from a condenser toward the evaporator upon turning off of the refrigerant system. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a control unit mounted between a condenser and an expansion unit so as to prevent the refrigerant from flowing from the condenser into an evaporator while the refrigerant system is not in operation. The control unit includes a dryer(50) mounted between the condenser and the expansion unit and which has a refrigerant inlet pipe(51) connected to an end of the dryer and a refrigerant outlet pipe(52) connected to the other end of the dryer; and a valve unit(55) mounted within the dryer in such a manner that the valve unit shuts off the refrigerant flow passageway between the refrigerant inlet pipe and the refrigerant outlet pipe when the pressure of the refrigerant decreases upon turning off of the refrigeration system.
