METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING GENERIC INCOMING CALL FROM TERMINAL AND INCOMING CALL BY CALL FORWARDING

PURPOSE: A method for discriminating a generic incoming call from a terminal and an incoming call by call forwarding is provided to select a call by discriminating the case that a phone call is made to a user's phone number from a terminal and the case that a different phone number is transferred to the user's phone number. CONSTITUTION: A CGS(Cellular Gateway System)(102) or an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(103) requests an HLR1(105) accepting an MIN1(Mobile Identification Number-1) for called subscriber information and location information(211). The HLR1(105) asks a called MSC(104) about location information in case that the MIN1 is a called number display service subscriber(212). The called MSC(104) transfers location information to the HLR1(105)(213). The HLR1 transmits it to the CGS(102) or the MSC(103)(214). The CGS(102) or the MSC(103) confirms transmitted location information and requests call connection to the called MSC(104)(215). The called MSC(104) contacts a relevant base station to page a called terminal and, at the same time, transfers the MIN1 to the terminal(216).
