PURPOSE: A device and a method for synthesizing a real time 3-layer video using an alpha channel and a real video are provided to automatically synthesize and to reproduce a 3-layer video, and to synthesize a 3-layer video in real time. CONSTITUTION: If a video(201) and an audio are inputted through a video input unit, such as a camera, a real video data on which an alpha attribute value stored in a file form in a computer is positioned and a real video data(208) designated as a background are loaded through a PCI, or a transfer medium on the computer. The inputted video(201) allows an article moving through an alpha-key value on a video memory(203) is extracted and a display information on a screen is processed through a graphic memory(204). A real video data(208) loaded through the computer is converted into a signal, which is displayable on the screen through a JPEG encoder/decoder(209), and an audio signal realizes sounds through an audio port(211). The data(204) processed through the inputted video(201) and the converted 2-layer data are synthesized into a 3-layer real video through an alpha channel mixer(205). The real video data synthesized in 3-layer and sent to a video output interface(206) is output(213) through a video output set, such as a monitor, a television, etc, and the audio data transferred through the audio port(211) is output through an audio output set, such as a speaker, etc.
