THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A thermoplastic resin composition containing polycarbonate resin, polypropylene resin is provided to accomplish improvement of impact-resistance and tensile strength property by using graft polyolefin resin of bisphenol type epoxy resin and maleic anhydride as a compatibilizer. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin composition includes 20-80 weight parts of polycarbonate resin and 80-20 weight parts of polypropylene resin. The composition also contains 1-5 weight parts of a graft polyolefin resin composed of 1-5 weight parts of bisphenol type epoxy resin and maleic anhydride as a compatibilizer for two resins, based on total 100 weight parts of the resins. Additionally, the composition is added by 0.1-0.5 weight parts of a reaction catalyst, that is quaternary ammonium salt. The graft polyolefin resin is preferably a polypropylene or ethylene-propylene rubber grafted with maleic anhydride in an amount of 1-5 wt.%. And, the quaternary ammonium salt can be a benzyl trimethyl ammonium chloride or tetrabutylammonium iodide.
