VERMICIDE COMPOSITION CONTAINING CATECHOL HYDRAZONE DERIVATIVE

PURPOSE: A vermicide composition used in vivo and in vitro composed of specific catechol hydrazone derivative and salt thereof is provided for removing endozoa and ectozoa in animals. CONSTITUTION: A vermicide composition containing a catechol hydrazone derivative compound of formula I (wherein R1 is C1-C7 alkyl or C3-C7 cycloalkyl group; R2 is H, OH, C1-C5 alkyl or -CH2CH2C(=O)NH2; R3 or R4 independently represent a cyclic compounds directly connected to C3-C4 containing H; C1-C7 alkyl; -C(=X)-R5; 2-, 3- or 4-pyridyl, pyrimidyl or phenyl groups having at least one or two groups selectively substituted from halogen, C1-C6 alkoxy, nitrile, trifluoromethyl, C1-C6 alkyl or carboxylic groups; or oxygen, sulfur or nitrogen; X is O, S or N-R5; R5 represents 2-, 3- or 4-pyridyl, pyrimidyl or phenyl groups selectively substituted by C1-C7 alkyl; -NHR6; or halogen, nitrile, trifluoromethyl, C1-C6 alkyl and carboxylic groups; and R6 is H, OH, C1-C5 alkoxy, C1-C5 alkyl, pyridyl or phenyl groups) and pharmaceutical effective salt thereof and carrier is used to remove parasites in vivo and/or in vitro, especially intestinal parasites in high lethality and/or reduced oviposition and/or hatch rates by 50-60% or more.
