METHOD FOR ELIMINATING ODOROUS GASES BY CONTACT OXIDATION IN WASH WATER

PURPOSE: A method for eliminating odorous gases by contacting with catalyst in wash water is provided to treat a large quantity of odorous gases at low cost. CONSTITUTION: In the method for eliminating odorous gases by contact oxidation, oxidizing agent is at least one selected from hydrogen peroxide, ozone, oxygen, air, NxOy (x=1 or 3, y=1 or 4), NaOCl, and sun-light. And, a catalyst is one selected from transition metal, alkali metal, and alkali earth metal. Further, a reductant is one or mixture selected from ascorbic acid, hydroxyquinone, formalin, methanol, trialkyl ortho-ester, and acetal. Additionally, Br2-, Br-, BrO- or BrO3- is used as an oxygen radical carrier.
