PURPOSE: A high speed data modem device having asymmetry and symmetry channels is provided to use an ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) modem, and to selectively use the asymmetry and symmetry channels. CONSTITUTION: The first modem(340) transmits data at a high speed, and receives the data at a low speed. The second modem(330) transmits the data at a low speed, and receives the data at a high speed. A data processor(310) selects the first modem(340) and the second modem(330), and forms two upward channels and two downward channels, then combines the channels to selectively transceive the data.
