METHOD FOR ENHANCING CHROMA AND EDGE DEFINITION OF DYE- BASE INK BY UNDERPRINTING USING VESICLE TECHNIQUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-base ink for ink jet printing which exhibits increased chroma and edge definition and decreased color-color bleed. SOLUTION: This aqueous dye-base ink contains at least one water-soluble dye having electric charge with the first symbol and vesicles formed from at least one surfactant. The vesicle has a bilayer wall which is formed by connecting two monolayers or an even number of monolayers at their back sides so that the wall forms the border between the inside and the outside. The water-soluble dye is dispersed mainly in between the inside and the outside of the vesicle.
