PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cores for various electrical appliances, particularly power supply cords which have excellent sparking-proofness caused by breakage. SOLUTION: Vinyl chloride based resin compositions comprise (A) 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride based resin, (B) 20-200 pts.wt. filler composed of 10-90 wt.% aluminum hydroxide and 10-90 pts.wt. magnesium hydroxide, and (C) 0.1-5.0 pts.wt. lower trialkoxysilane compound having a substituted or non-substituted hydrocarbon group.
