The rubbish sorter has a principal conveyor (C1) moving the rubbish (D) towards sorters (P1,P2). At the end of the principal conveyor are two separated auxiliary conveyors (C2,C3) of lesser width which feed the rubbish to the sorters over two distinct paths. A pair of vertical axis rotating brushes (4,5) direct the rubbish from the principal conveyor onto the auxiliary conveyors.
