The acquisition mechanism has a pixel detector (10) coupled to A to D converters (C1-Cn) with a digital bus (12) passing signals to a processor unit (13). Each pixel is oversampled time wise or in parallel acquiring a number of points. The assembly of points are then processed to obtain the exact time curve equation for each pixel, and the pixel value found at the sampling instant.
