1363401 Vehicle wheel mountings RAYMOND CORP 15 Jan 1973 [15 May 1972] 1953/73 Heading B7D In a wheel mounting arrangement for supporting a horizontally-extending outrigger leg 25 of a lift truck, axles 33, 34 carrying a pair of wheels 31, 32 are secured to rocker plates 37, 38 which are situated in openings 28a, 29a in side plates 28, 29 fixed to the leg 25 and bear against hardened rocker cams 39, 40 on which the plates 37, 38 can pivot to the extent permitted by the size of the openings to equalize the loading on the wheels. Washers 45 centre the wheels 31, 32 between thrust plates 41, 42 which have holes receiving the axles 33, 34 and cover the sides of the openings 28a, 29a adjacent the wheels. The rocker cams may be carried by the rocker plates instead of the side plates, or the rocker plates and the openings in the side plates may be shaped so that they co-operate to prevent sliding of the rocker plates on the cams. |
