PURPOSE: A method for controlling a management of a network in an operation and maintenance interface device is provided to enable an operator to easily recognize information on a management of a network by adding a network management panel function to an OMID system connected to a mobile service switching center, and by effectively controlling sub-functions for managing the network. CONSTITUTION: Data transmitted from a message distribution unit of an OMID(Operation and Maintenance Interface Device) system are stored. A shared memory is initialized. In case that a sub-processor capable of processing graphics and the shared memory capable of sharing information data are initialized, a sub-processor capable of processing each sub-function is generated. In case that the shared memory is initialized, a message reception stand-by status is started. In case that a network management message is transmitted through an inter processor communication of a main processor, the message is stored in the shared memory. In addition, a control signal is transmitted to the sub-processor. The sub-processor reads the shared memory and confirms data contents. In case that the contents are confirmed as the "starting", a function of a relevant function is executed. In case that the contents are confirmed as the "termination", a panel window is terminated. In case that the contents are confirmed as the "system traffic", the "root group traffic" and the "network management", a graphic function is called.
