PURPOSE: A hinge mechanism in a portable phone is provided to improve the efficiency of assembly and to achieve the miniaturization of a portable phone. CONSTITUTION: A hinge module is composed of a hinge housing(10), a hinge shaft(20), a hinge cam(30), and a hinge spring(40). The hinge shaft(20), the hinge cam(30), and the hinge spring(40) are installed in the hinge housing(10) sequentially in the direction of a rotation axis(A1). Accordingly the hinge shaft(20) or the hinge cam(30) has a cylindric shape so as to be assembled in the direction of the rotation axis(A1). In order to protect the hinge shaft(20), the hinge cam(30) and the hinge spring(40) installed in the hinge housing(10), a hinge cover(50) is additionally assembled in the vertical direction. The hinge housing(10) has a perfectly closed end(101) and a partially opened end(102) on the basis of the axis direction. A circular hole(102a), which the shaft(201) of the hinge shaft(20) penetrates, is formed at the partially opened end(102). The upper part of the hinge housing(10) has a perfectly opened end(103), and the lower part has a perfectly closed end(104). The lower surface of the perfectly closed end(104) is rounded. More than a hooking slot(106a) to cover the perfectly opened end(103) are formed at the lateral of the hinge housing(10).
