<p>A method and system for the storing and checking of data relevant to a physical process, such as data relating to the production of plant raw materials used in the areas of pharmaceuticals, phytomedicines, nutraceuticals, herbal remedies and health foods. The data entry and storage on the one hand and the checking of data against predefined criteria on the other are carried out by separate parallel process trails, a data management trail (1) and an audit trail (2) respectively. Each trail is divided into stages (3 to 10) corresponding to stages (A1 to A4) of the physical process. The entered data for each stage is stored in a secure location so that it cannot thereafter be altered and is checked for compliance with predefined criteria appropriate to the stage before processing, such as data entry, can happen for the next stage.</p> |
