<p>A method for displaying images on a screen of a computer using a system BIOS. Image data to be displayed on the computer screen and an image control program for displaying the image data on the screen are stored in a read only memory of the system BIOS. The stored image data and image control program are transferred to a hard disk when the computer is booted. If the booting of the computer is completed and an operation program runs, then the image control program is executed to display the image data stored on the hard disk on the screen. Even though the user deletes the image data and image control program from the hard disk under the condition that the computer is powered on, the image data and image control program are again transferred from the system BIOS to the hard disk when the computer is booted.</p> |
