PURPOSE: A snow chain is provided to easily install a pad type chain. CONSTITUTION: A snow chain is of bisected cylinder form with sunken inside. A fixing device parts(1) are on the sides of both ends of the snow chain. A protrusive part(4) of trigonal prism form is formed on a bottom part(5) to execute efficient braking on icy road. The principal part of the snow chain is made of synthetic resins or rubber with the same durability as of common tires. To install the snow tire, one snow chain is placed and fixed on the top of a tire, a car is advanced by about 50cm, the other snow chain is placed so as to contact with the snow chain previously fixed and fixing devices of the fixing device parts(1) are locked.
