The leaf guard has a guttering cover(17) attached to an inlet element(11). The cover may be detachably attached to the inlet element. The fastening element is a hinge(23) which may be of the unhingeable type. The gutter cover may be formed in one piece with inlet element, or the cover may be connected to the inlet element by a film hinge. The cover may have an additional attachment for mounting on the guttering roll molding(9) and which may be detachable. The additional attachment may have spring or flexible elements.
