A syringe drench adapter for livestock includes a collar (24) having a frustoconical nose (28) and a generally cylindrical skirt (32) extending fro m the nose which is removably fittable over and end of a syringe, and an elongated tube (26) extending from the nose. The skirt defines a syringe- receiving opening having an inner diameter which is less than an outer diameter of the syringe barrel. The skirt includes a circumferential ridge (36) which extends radially inwardly and is disposed adjacent to the syringe - receiving opening, and a plurality of longitudinal slots (38) extending from the syringe-receiving opening which provide flexion.
