The controller has an engine temperature measurement device and an energy increasing device for increasing the energy generated by the motor in generator mode if the vehicle is being driven by the engine (E) without assistance from the motor (M) and if the engine temperature is less than or equal to a predefined temperature. The inducted air temperature ands engine water temperature are measured and the external air temperature is computed.
