A cable ladder for the support of cables, pipes and other components, comprising at least a pair of longitudinally extending spaced-apart strings (1) and a plurality of transverse rungs (2) fixed at intervals to the strings. The strings consist of channel members having a web part (3) and one or two flange parts (4, 5), and the rungs (2) consist of profile members having an at least partly essentially C-shaped cross-section and a longitudinal slot (6) on one side, at least some of the rung profiles (2) being fixed to the flange parts (3) by means of detachable fastening elements (40) placed in respective holes (43) in the flange parts (4) and being in engagement with the rung profiles (2).
