CYCLIC PEPTIDES AND AIDS VACCINES

Cyclic peptides containing as the constituent chain one or two amino acid sequences selected from between Asn-Val-Ser-Glu-Ala-Asp-Asp-Arg-Tyr-Ile and Arg-Ser-Gln-Lys-Glu-Gly-Leu-His-Tyr-Thr; and AIDS vaccines containing these peptides as the active ingredient. It is preferable from the standpoints of bioabsorbability and development of an antibody that the active groups of th e peptides selected from among carboxyl, amino and hydroxyl be bonded to substituents. The cyclic peptides can neutralize the second receptor which H IV- 1 viruses utilize in invading into the human body.
