CREOSOTE OIL EMULSION AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A creosote oil emulsion in which problems of a creosote oil concerning hue, odor, adverse influences on a working atmosphere, safety, and solvent elimination have been mitigated. It is obtained by mixing (A) 100 parts by weight of a creosote oil with (B) 42 to 1,330 parts by weight of an emulsion obtained by emulsifying (b1) at least one water-soluble substance selected from the group consisting of water-soluble organic compounds having a molecular weight of 100 or higher and water-soluble polymers in an aqueous medium using (b2) a surfactant in an amount of 0.1 to 15.0 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the substance (b1).
