OPTICAL SECURITY SEAL

The inventive optical security seal comprises a body consisting of two parts and a transparent, fixed insert pressing the ends of a connecting element against said body. The connecting element is made of a reflecting material and is used as an information element. The body is provided with a housing accommodating the ends of the connecting element in the form of a comb and comprises a channel. The ends of the connecting element are alternated in the rows of said comb in the hollow spaces separating the teeth and have a single optical design, being able to be scanned by an automatic control device. Any unauthorized attempt to remove said seal results in an irreversible change in the single optical design.
