The cylinder lock, especially for use in a vehicle, has a lock cylinder (10) with at least two key removal settings with offset rotation, where the key can be inserted freely into the cylinder core (11) and removed, and with locking units. The freewheel sleeve (12) has locking units for the tumblers (15,15'). The coupling slide (30) is moved between at least two key withdrawal settings, by rotation of the cylinder core (11) at rotary angle positions, with a radial sliding action towards each rotary angle position. With a number of ratchet controls, at least one is at each rotary angle position for key withdrawal. On a shift from a normal operation into a forced overload condition, the radial movement of the offset ratchet controls (21) is in the same direction as the coupling (30).
