The improved rear-view mirror for large vehicles has a housing (1) carrying the mirror and hinged on a support (2) that can be fixed to the wall of the vehicle (3). A pneumatic cylinder (4) formed by a cylinder body (5) having two air inlets (6, 7) and a piston (8) is provided between the housing (1) and the support (2). The end of the cylinder body (5) is hinged on (10) in a point of the housing (1) conveniently distant from the support (2) while the free end of the piston (8) has an extension elbowing (9) into the interior of the housing (1) whose free end has a fork hinged on (11) to the projecting element (12) of the support (2).
