<p>A compound needle, comprising a needle main body (3) having a hook (15) at the tip thereof and a slider (5) having tongues (31a, 31b) formed by overlapping two blades (11a, 11b) with each other, each of the needle main body (3) and slider (5) being formed movably in longitudinal direction in the state that the blades (11a, 11b) of the slider (5) are supported on a blade groove (17) formed in the needle main body (3), wherein a partition wall (41) thinner than the hook (15) of the needle main body (3) is formed in the blade groove (17), the blades (11a, 11b) of the slider (5) are stored in the blade groove (17) across the partition wall (41), a sliding resistance caused when the blade of the slider is moved beyond the hook is reduced, and the extension of the blade is suppressed.</p> |
