DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS

A detergent composition which dispenses and dissolves well in aqueous soluti on and having good storage stability is described. The composition comprises a reactive particle which preferably comprises first and second reactants whic h are respectively, acid and alkali-sources and which release gas on contact with water, in which the particle number ratio of the first reactant to the second reactant (that is the ratio of number of particles of the first reactant to the second reactant) in the reactive particle is at least 50:1. The reactive particles themselves are also claimed.
