A plug pin 2 is folded from a conductive blank. The pin has a conductive end 3 and an insulated portion 4 not substantially wider than it. The insulated portion is made by fixing insulating material 5 to the blank before it is folded into shape. The insulating material is trapped between the edges of the blank (35, 36, Fig 8), holding it in place, and it may also be stuck to the blank with adhesive before the folding. The pin provides insulation if it is pulled partly out of a socket. |
