<p>A multimedia information sorting/arranging device for flexibly carrying out retrieval and sorting by using various features that multimedia information has and displaying it in an information set arrangement space. An information set acquiring section (10) acquires a set of information. An axis setting section (20) assigns a feature of media information to an information set arrangement space axis and sets an information set arrangement space. A feature extracting section (30) extracts the feature from media information included in the set of information acquired. An information set sorting/arranging section (40) sorts the items of the set of information according to the feature and arranges them in an information set arrangement space. An information displaying section (50) displays an information set arrangement space viewed from a predetermined display viewpoint. The axis setting section (20) resets the information set arrangement space axis according to the display result by using a different feature, thus resorting, rearranging, and redisplaying the set of information in the information set arrangement space and repeating re-retrieval from different perspectives.</p> |
