The U-section clip member (2) has a straight side (4) engaging a sheet metal portion of the bodywork. There is a 90 degrees bend connecting the straight side of the clip to the flat bottom of the U-section. The U-section gradually curves round into a curved side (3) enclosing a chamber (5,6) to accommodate the cable, pipe or wire and there is a recurved end portion (8) which fits closely against the body panel to holt the cable, pipe or wire in position. The clip member may be fastened to a bracket (1,1a).
