Thin film magnetic field sensitive sensor (15), according to DE 199 44 586.9, has a three loop flux antenna with outer (17a, 17c) and middle (17b) loops with gradiometer properties and a flux voltage transducer with two linear sensor elements (6, 7) arranged in gaps between the antenna loops. The sensor elements are serially connected so that the voltage signal caused by the gradient free component of the magnetic field is largely compensated and a galvanic connection is formed between the loops with resultant gradiometer properties. Hall sensors or magneto-resistive sensors can be used as the sensor elements.
