CONNECTOR FOR FLEXIBLE BOARD

A connector (1) for a flexible board comprises a housing (4) having an opening and a cover member (7) rotatable around a predetermined rotation axis so as to open/close the opening. A free end (38) of an elastic piece (35) of a forklike contactor (23) has first and second branch pieces (39, 41) branching from each other. The second branch piece (41) has a contact brought into contact with a flexible board (2) plugged into a plug space (3). One end of the cover member (7) has a retaining part (55) disposed between the first and second branch pieces (39, 41). The retaining part (55) retains the free end (38) of the elastic piece (35) in a predetermined range to prevent displacement of the free end (38) in both directions.
