The invention provides for a material comprising (a) a hardenable resin; and (b) fillers comprising (i) clusters of nano-sized particles, the clusters comprising non-heavy metal oxide particles and heavy metal oxides and being not fully densified; and (ii) non-agglomerated, non-heavy metal oxide nano- sized particle or non-agglomerated, heavy metal oxide nano-sized particle. T he material is suitable for use as dental materials.
