A hydroxy allyl ether is converted into the corresponding propenyl ether compound and then reacted with a fluorine containing compound. A method for the preparation of fluorinated 1-propenyl ethers (A) comprises a single or multi-step process where an allyl ether (B) with at least one hydroxyl group and at least one allyl ether group is converted into the corresponding 1-propenyl ether (B), which is then reacted with a fluorine-containing compound (C), in a molar (B)/(C) ratio less than or equal to 1:1. |
