CYCLIC PEPTIDES AND AIDS VACCINES

Cyclic peptides containing as the constituent chain one or two amino acid sequences selected from between Asn-Val-Ser-Glu-Ala-Asp-Asp-Arg-Tyr-Ile and Arg-Ser-Gln-Lys-Glu-Gly-Leu-His-Tyr-Thr; and AIDS vaccines containing these peptides as the active ingredient. It is preferable from the standpoints of bioabsorbability and development of an antibody that the active groups of the peptides selected from among carboxyl, amino and hydroxyl be bonded to substituents. The cyclic peptides can neutralize the second receptor which HIV-1 viruses utilize in invading into the human body.
